The Challenge
Last night, the remaining six designers were challenged to create a companion look that complemented and enhanced one of their best designs from a previous challenge. Wait a second, Logan hasn’t won any challenges…
Tim’s Critiques
When Carol Hannah told Tim, “I feel like [my design] is a big scary mess,” he responded with, “You’re not going to get an argument from me.” Tim told Althea her pants were “scary.” Tim told Logan, “I’m excited already.”
Drama in the Workroom
According to Althea, Logan stole the zipper collar idea that she used for the Xtina challenge. Althea and Irina had a carb fest/venting session over some In N’ Out fries, while Althea glared through the glass wall at Logan and whined about him stealing her idea. Meana Irina reciprocated the venting with an observation about Christopher’s dress (above). She asked Althea, “Why is one dress throwing up the other?” Burn.
Logan, who gave Meana Irina her charming nickname, said, “I wish the judges would say something to humble her. She’s kind of on a high horse.” The highest, Logan. A giant mutant monster horse plotting to take over the world. Dear Meana Irina’s mom, please serve your daughter a generous slice of humble pie this Thanksgiving. Thanks! Logan must have been on a roll because he followed his high horse comment by saying, of Gordana’s design, “It reminds me of my Grandma’s couch.” Meana Irina turned on her French fry sister Althea by asking in an interview, “Are you insane or are you drunk?” Apparently, Althea’s design resembled her winning Aspen look. Hey designers, let’s all stop playing the blame game and focus on designing some really knockout looks!
The Designs
Heidi, Heidi, Heidi. What are you wearing? How could you have looked into your mirror and seen a pink ruffle shirt underneath a black blazer with sequined elbows, paired with silver Bermuda shorts and thought, “I look good!”? Wrong on all counts. Sorry—I was just so distracted. Back to the designs.
Gordana: Her rock and roll/industrial look turned out looking “old and drab and sad,” according to Heidi and like something an office worker in Warsaw Poland would wear, according to Project Runway alum Nick Verreos. I agree. Zzzzz.
Christopher: Nina said his dress looked like a “carnival float” and guest judge Kerry Washington said, “There’s, like, children hiding underneath.” Two strikes. The dress had pompom ties on the back. Ew. Strike three, according to moi.

Althea: This girl made her scary pants (above) work!
Heidi said, “I want it. I love the pants.” They were pretty cool. I’d
rock ‘em. My one complaint is this: Someone please get Althea’s model a
bra, or at least some pasties. That girl is bouncing around more than
children in a jump house on sugar highs!
Logan: Kerry said Logan’s design (above) looked like “A lizard scaring someone,” and Heidi called it “too tricked out.”
Winner: Althea’s scary pants won and Heidi said, “We all wanted to walk away with the outfit—but it’s mine!”
Loser: Cutie patootie man candy Logan was sent home. Insert sad face here. I’ll miss staring at him. I’m sure Carol Hannah shares my sentiment.

I have to admit, I was sad to see Logan go (for obvious resons), but his fashion truely wasn't memorable. It's really time for Christopher to go! And Irina is getting on my nerves, too- Logan was spot on with what he said. She blew that whole sweater incident way out of proportion, she's not the first designer in the world to make a sweater! And to throw Althea under the bus lke that was so immature and unnecessary. Althea's outfit was incredible, and she definately deserved to win this one, she and Carol Hannah have always been my favorites... although I would definately like to see Carol Hannah design a two piece outfit :)
We actually JUST finished watching it-my aunt and grandma are now addicted! We were laughing at Heidi's outfit-I mean really?! Then we were all sad because we thought that Gordana was probably going to go home because she is pretty talented-and my moms favorite designer. But yes it was sad to see logan go. And honestly I think Irina is the best designer-I just love ALL her stuff-but she is pretty mean....
And there is so much more drama as it gets closer to the end. I hate how everyone is getting meaner...but I guess that what happens in competitions (I don't know if I spelled that right).

i really like altheas outfit. i dont think in any way she copied irina. im glad irina didnt win this one..
christopher will be the next to go, hes been hanging on for sooo long..him or gordana. i really like her, shes a sweet woman, but really? nothing too memorable from her has been made.
i think its between carol hannah and althea. and carol hannah better step it up soon! by creating some different looks and yeah, 2 piece outfits. it will really benefit her. shes made some really nice stuff.

I can't believe that Christopher is still in. It's ridiculous!
Seriously, Althea's model needs SOMETHING to reign in her boobs. Irina does have a snooty, better than everyone attitude, but Althea isn't that far behind her in my book. She's always harping on how so and so shouldn't be here, it just seems like Irina gets a bit more face time to make those comments than Althea.
Carol Hannah is definitely my favorite. Of all the designers, she has had the most things come down the runway that I would actually wear myself, followed by Irina, who I like even though her attitude sucks.
I agree with @albee_d. And the boob thing - definitely annoying but almost the only interesting thing to look at coming down the runway.

Christopher should have gone home a few episodes ago! He's in elimination every time and they keep deciding to let him stay.
Finally caught up w/the DVR!
--Yeah, what IS up with that chick's boobs? I can't believe the judges haven't said anything. It definitely affects how the outfit looks. Or the looks' cuts just don't flatter her.
--I think Gordana should've gone home. I like her, but that outfit was drab and chintzy. And I didn't think that "space age" thing Logan made was all that horrendous.
-- Christopher's dress looked like a cheap cottilion gown.
--I liked Irina's sweater coat. . . .again.(Funny that she mentioned Carol Hannah being a "one trick pony".) But I thought the dress looked like a modern saloon gal. All she needed was a garter and a feather in her hair.
--Why do any of these designers still trust Irina enough to sit & gab w/her? I wouldn't share my fries with that bitch.
--All in all, none of the looks really wowed me.

i know i'm going against the grain when i say that i'm on TEAM IRINA! she does come off overly-confident, but nonetheless she is talented. shirin was way more annoying to me! i wonder if heidi/ProjRW are aware of irina's annoying and "mean" rep, esp after that unnecessary tiff with althea at this last judging.
can't wait for thursday and another great recap :)
